This is the final layout of my music magazine

I chose to only have my mast head slightly covered up as the music magazine is a new magazine and needs to establish a strong brand identity. I have put the main image in the middle of the page as the people on the front cover are what sell the magazine. The main story goes across the main image as i feel that it will make it stand out more. the bar code is at the bottom of the screen as this doesn't draw attention away from any of the other features on the page.

This is my final masthead i chose this one over the other mast head because it looks more like a music magazine also it follows the typical conventions of a music magazine.

Fonts for my magazine ...

These are the font i have chosen to try for my music magazine i decided to go for a base colour of black and it the is stereo typical conventions of a music magazine. The font i have chosen is the bottom font as i feel it fits in best with my genre!

Out of all of these i have chosen to use Tuned as my masthead as i feel it fits with my genre of Pop and R & B tuned represents being tuned in to music also when musical instruments are tuned they sound correct so it also links in with this.

I have used these individual to help me get inspiration for my photo shoots, i chose these pictures because i think that the way props have been used with in the pictures give an edgy appearance and because my artists are new artist they want to break into the music industry and by creating their own brand identity by using some powerful images.

Layering of front covers ...

After my first draft of my front cover i felt that my text on my front cover has not been layered enough and my front cover didn't follow the typical conventions of a music magazine so i decided to study NME as a well known music magazine to see how they layer their front cover. The result was that most of the text overlays each other and overlaps, the name of the magazine is covered sligtly as they have a strong brand identity.
